WoW Mage AoE Leveling

June 8, 2010

www.nub2pro.com This is a short video I put together about how to level as a Mage with AoE/Blizzard. As you can see my character is level 80, however I have removed most of my gear and downgraded my spells to give you a better idea of how fast mobs die. Cheers :) I just use the default UI, and the combat text is from the add-on Mik Scrolling Battle Text (MSBT) – I like that particularly because it can be set up to give you audio/visual warnings whenever you proc cooldowns.

Awesome video, I love your website too. It’s provided me with invaluable knowledge on how to play well.

I was wondering if you could tell me what UI you’re using on this video?
I likw how the damage and spell names are shown.

That was especially true before WotLK when you didn’t have so many slowing talents. Now, if you have all slowing talents (Permafrost+Improved Blizzard+Chilled to the Bone) your targets’ speed will be slowed by 60% which is a lot, and Frostbite procs won’t screw you up.

Additionally, Frostbite is a Freeze (a root effect) and when a mob is affected by it your Blizzard will crit more and do more damage due to Shatter and Ice Shards.

All in all, Frostbite is too good not to have! Thanks for the Q!
