If you’ll type powerleveling in Google, you’ll find a lot of websites offering powerleveling services. If you’ve been playing WoW for some time, you’ll know that the fun begins at level 80. Read my story on how my account was banned using two powerleveling services.
I’ve been playing WoW since beta, (when only Dwarf Priests have fear ward and Warlocks can chain fear their opponents) but stopped playing after BC was released. I was level 62 when I’ve stopped with my Dwarf Priest and 60 with my UD Warlock. I’ve stopped playing for a year and resumed playing when all my friends are level 80. Since I would like to join my friends in the high level content I’ve started looking for part time powerleveling services which would level up my character when I’m not online.
I’ve researched online and have chosen the cheapest powerleveling service which I assumed was done somewhere in Asia. The price is half of the price if you get a powerleveling service in the US. I wasn’t concern with my account being banned because they’ve told me they’ve leveled up a lot of characters and not one was suspended or banned.
They were able to level up my character up to 70 in one week. I was happy with their service until finally I got an email from Blizzard and they’ve suspended my account. Here’s a screenshot of the email:
This was the first time that my account was suspended. I said to myself that maybe if I purchase a powerleveling service here in the US, Blizzard will not be able to detect that somebody else is logging in with my account. I’ve purchased a powerleveling service from 70-80 in a reputable company here in the US. The price was 2 times more expensive than if I use the company in Asia. I didn’t mind paying more since I don’t want my account to get banned.
After reaching level 79 (btw, instead of part time they’ve done my powerleveling full time, Blizzard banned my account. I was furiously mad since I had that account since Beta. I wasn’t able to get a refund from the company and in the end I had to start all over again.
Moral of the story is to stay away from powerleveling services. Even if they say that they are safe and Blizzard will not be able to detect that somebody else is using your account. My advice is to do it yourself with the help of a powerleveling guide.
After my horrible experience with powerleveling services (you can read how my account was banned here), I’ve decided to take powerleveling on my own hands and started to search how I can reach 80 the fastest possible way. I’ve identified 3 popular guides that are available on both Alliance and Horde. The top 3 guides are: Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide, Zygor Guide, and iDemise Guide.
My requirements for a powerleveling guide are as follows:
I want the fastest leveling guide
It should have both in-game leveling and talent guide
I want to get the best value for my money
Responsive support
Team iDemise doesn’t have an in-game talent guide so I had to immediately remove it from my list. Good thing, both Dugi and Zygor have free trials so I was able to evaluate both before making my decision.
To check which leveling guide is faster, I’ve leveled two characters (same race and class) from 1-10 using each guide. Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide has a better quest order and is slightly faster than Zygor.
The next thing I’ve checked is the price, Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide is cheaper than Zygor. With Dugi, you’ll get a one faction (either alliance or horde) powerleveling guide for $37 while in Zygor it is $50 (As of today, Zygor has dropped the price to $30. Check their website now to avail of the discount.)
Both have support forums, and I’ve tried asking questions. The response time from both web sites are fairly the same. Dugi’s forum has more active members though.
Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide has a complete package which includes the following:
Gold Farming / Auction House and Profession Guide – $37
BONUS: Dugi’s PVP Strategies – $37 Value FREE
If you’re a competitive WoW player like me, you should get the complete package of Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide for $87 only (The regular price is $148. Again, I don’t know how long the special price of $87 will last. Please visit their website to check if the special price is still available. ). This will help all aspects of your game. Your friends will be surprised how fast you’ll level up, with lots of gold, and you’ll own the other faction in PvP.
Of course, some of us are just interested in reaching level 80 and would not need help on acquiring gold, leveling up their professions, and playing PvP.
If you are just interested on a powerleveling guide, please look at the comparison between Dugi and Zygor:

Hi, I'm Daniel! I've been playing World of Warcraft since beta and I've leveled a couple of characters to level 80 on both Alliance and Horde. You can find me in the EU PVP Server Boulderfist.
I've created this blog to share my experience with powerleveling. I had an account which was banned by Blizzard because I've used a powerleveling service. Since then, I've stopped using these services and decided to do it on my own using a powerleveling guide.
I hope you'll find the information useful and please think twice before using a powerleveling service. You wouldn't want to loose your account just like I did.
